Thank You for Your Support
We are deeply grateful to our community for continuing to support fire suppression and medical response services. The passing of the fire levy lid lift in the August 2025 election ensures that Benton County Fire District #1 can continue delivering high-quality emergency service to our community.
What Comes Next
Our fire levy funds both fire suppression and emergency medical services (EMS), with EMS calls accounting for 68% of the calls we receive. Voters’ approval of a fire levy lid lift will fund:
- Hiring three full-time firefighter/EMTs to respond to higher call volumes and accommodate volunteer work and family schedules
- Purchasing a new extractor washing machine to thoroughly clean firefighter gear and reduce exposure to carcinogens and hazardous chemicals
- Replacing an ambulance and medical equipment
- Addressing facility maintenance issues to prolong the use of current stations (e.g., Station 120 on Finley Rd.)
These investments are critical to protecting lives and property and maintaining the high level of emergency response our community relies on.
Stay Involved
Your voice continues to matter. We invite you to attend a BCFD#1 Board of Fire Commissioners meeting. These meetings are open to the public and provide a chance to learn about district priorities, ask questions, and share your input.
If you have questions, please contact Fire Chief Scott LoParco at scott@bentonone.org or 509-737-0911.
